The pursuit began following an alleged attempted theft of a car on Lawson Street in Essendon about 1.30am.
A witness reported seeing a blue Mazda CX5 at the scene and passed the information to police who spotted the car on Albert Street in Preston about 1.45am.Three teenage boys have been charged following a police pursuit across Melbourne. Footage from the police airwing, shows the car driving near parkland on Heritage Drive in Springvale, before one of the teens got out and allegedly tried to get in a nearby vehicle.
A 15-year-old Dandenong North boy was charged with theft of motor vehicle, dealing property suspected to be proceeds of crime and traffic offences and will appear at a children's court at a later date.
