Three people have been killed and there are grave fears for at least five others still missing as an unprecedented bushfire crisis plagues New South Wales.

At least 35 people have been injured, including 19 firefighters, and 150 homes have been destroyed.

A wall of flame is bearing down on homes at Old Bar, Wallabi Point, and areas near the popular tourist town of Taree — where the body of a woman has tragically been found in the rubble of a burnt-out building. One resident described the situation as “hell on Earth” after battling to save his home from blazes. Image: News Corp Australia

Unprecedented. Bushfires 1939 71 deaths, 1967 62, 1983 75, 2009 173. And many others. Look at the following sue to see the regularity if fires. Some burned 2 million hectares.

Chris Kenny says its BS. Nothing to do with climate change... He still cites a hot day in Adelaide as proof global warming is not real. He's is no scientist, scientists are drilling ice caps, reading sea temps watching glaciers decline. But global warming is BS according to Kenny

ScottMorrisonMP Is as much responsible for these deaths as the NRA are responsible for Gun deaths. You can't argue it's not your responsibility when you are suppling the products that are destroying our planet. auspol

Thoughts and Prays....

I could be wrong but i remember hearing that when Captain Cook sailed up the east coast he observed massive bush fire's all the way up the east coast? Fires are part of Australia like water is wet.

So sad . 😢

It’s Govt mismanagement of the bush that has resulted in more intense bush fires Do more Hazards Reduction Burning, STOP Locking Up our Forest to Logging & Livestock grazing: WB Too much fuel causes extreme bush fires, not climate change
