NSW Police arrest three as part of counter-terrorism raids in Sydney's west targeting several suburbs including Canada Bay, Chester Hill, Greenacre, Green Valley, Ingleburn and Toongabbie.

The Australian Federal Police confirmed the NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team was handling the incident.

It's understood the operation is targeting several suburbs including Canada Bay, Chester Hill, Greenacre, Green Valley, Ingleburn and Toongabbie.The JCTT is a joint squad comprising officers from both NSW Police and the AFP. In a statement, NSW Police said:"The NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team can confirm it is conducting operational activity in Sydney today.""Further details will be released at an appropriate time."
