‘Thought it was April fools’: How Fifita’s backflip shocked even his teammates amid big Des vouch

Titans star Sam Verrils has opened up on David Fifita ’s shock decision to shun the Roosters to remain on the Gold Coast , revealing he thought it was an ‘April fools’ joke.

“He told us he was going and it didn’t really have any effect because it was a day off for us, but as a club we are very happy and stoked he’s staying and he believes in us. “A couple of weeks ago he messaged us on our day off and he said he was committing to going down south in the new year,” he said.
