From a blind date to literally falling at one’s feet, here’s how the earth moved for five celebrity couples.

Curtis Stone: “She was quite late – and now looking back – I should have known that would become the rest of life – waiting for my wife!”I met Lindsay in 2010 via a mutual friend who organised a blind date. I heard she surfed and was cool. Our first date was dinner at Terroni’s in LA. She was quite late – and now looking back – I should have known that would become the rest of life – waiting for my wife! . I thought I had been stood up.

I felt instantly attracted. He is kind, adorable and all the things you want on a first date. He looked like trouble though – the spiky blonde hair, the leather jacket and accent. He wasn’t my usual type. There is that hunky thing about him, and I did judge him to be about as deep as a glass of rosé – but he was so much deeper.

The relationship felt more certain when we travelled to Tasmania in the year we met – we hired a camper van and had a lot of fun on the road. We travelled well together. She made me a delicious cherry tomato bruschetta for breakfast one morning that I still remember.Scott Gault: “I told my friend who proceeded to get a T-shirt from his room and said, ‘this is a Bassike T-shirt’.

When I arrived at our first lunch date, he was busy with other people, so I got my lunch and sat in the back garden and didn’t tell him I had arrived. He came flying back and apologised for not seeing me. We sat talking until the sun set. I had a poetry evening to go to and Sam came with me. Our first kiss happened at a Halloween party while waiting for a bus.
