'The Prime Minister drew a line in the sand this week' | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Catherine McGregor says the past 24 hours 'may well set the tone' for the remainder of the Scott Morrison Prime Ministership, stating the Prime Minister 'drew a line in the sand' in the culture wars.\n\n'Speaking at a dinner for the United Israel Appeal the Prime Minister made some heartfelt remarks about individual human dignity,' she said. \n\n'He repudiated identity politics as an anathema to the broad Judeo-Christian foundations of our nation and the broader Western project-invoking the late Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks.\n\n'Last night was clearly a clarion call to arms in the culture wars. The choice of audience was shrewd and built on the Prime Minister's speech earlier this week to a Christian audience on the Gold Coast.\n\n'Having eschewed the culture wars as a distraction, it seems to me that the Prime Minister drew a line in the sand this week.'\n Is ‘that sand’ on a Hawaiian beach 🤔 We get to hear about the culture wars from a man in a dress

Biden's stance on China and Indo-Pacific 'good news for Australia' | Sky News AustraliaThe Australian's Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says President Joe Biden's policy on China and the Indo-Pacific has been 'very good' - the Afghanistan military withdrawal will free up 'resources' to bolster their Navy in the Indo-Pacific.\n\n'The Biden administration has been very sensible- quite different from the second Obama administration,' Mr Sheridan said.\n\n'On the whole, it has continued Trump policy but I do think on China and the central challenge in the Indo-Pacific he and his whole administration... have been very good. \n\nMr Sheridan pointed to President Biden's efforts in withdrawing troops from Afghanistan to devote more resources to the Indo-Pacific.\n\n'I even think that it's been very good that he's pulled out of Afghanistan and is trying to draw down in the middle-east - because if you're fighting a war in the middle-east you're never going to devote the resources you need in the Pacific.\n\n'The US Navy has shrunk it's too small - can't do what we need it to do, so I think really Biden has been very good on China and the Indo-Pacific.'\n\n Greg wont be invited back Uh oh, programming error at Sky. Cut quickly to Rowan Dean! Thanks Greg. I have been shitting myself with all the war talk from the PM ScottMorrisonMP , senior ministers, senior government officials and SkyNews hosts recently but your comments are very reassuring!
