Those who are vaccinated will eventually be granted more privileges than those who are not, says Infectious Diseases Physician Professor Peter Collignon.

He said “as time goes on” and more Australians get vaccinated, the rules for those people should change. “Once you’re vaccinated, if you’re overseas I would think home quarantine would be an option for you,” Professor Collignon told Sky News.

He said while he does not think vaccines should be mandatory, if people choose not to receive it there might be a price to pay. “By the same token people who decide not to get vaccinated or delay it, they may have to deal with some of the consequences of that.”

Nazi Germany

This is pure discrimination. People who pay more taxes should then also be more privileged, because they pay for it all.

Throwing the guinea pigs a carrot 🥕 good on ya dickhead

Even if you’re vaccinated ,you can’t go anywhere 😂😂😂

That should be considered a human right violation and discrimination. Everybody has the right and duty to protect their own body. No government can decide for a human being! It should be your own choice.

Fair enough

Police states

belfastjj Why does this not happen with measles vaccine or the others? Flu Kills why is there not mass roll out of Flu vacc?

So Marxist Ideology at its best and yet no one wants to take them to court so they can prove what evidence they have until they are not in front of a judge this situation will continue

This is correction !

He Continues to spread fear.

BECAUSE THEY ARE DEAD

i can't wait to say goodbye to this country.

Thats racist and bullying. We are not living in a dictatorship yet.

Make it not just covid vaccine but all vaccines then.

If you are vaccinated, there should be no need to quarantine! Enough. Quarantining is not feasible for this amount of time. No one has 7 days, let alone two weeks to spare. People have jobs and lives!

Lancet suggests they deceived us. They reported RRR and not ARR.

I don’t know who has to hear this, but if someone asks me to see my vaccination “papers” before I enter an establishment, you’re getting punched in the throat.

You mean those responsible for pushing these vaccines and censoring science will have no privileges when people realise what's been going on. Ignorance is no defence and hindsight is futile in this scenario. The truth always catches up to the lies 🤷‍♀️

Once we all get through this pandemic, it needs be a crime if anyone avoids their responsibilities infecting others, same as HIV ?

Liberals Nationals Fail !

Who the f are you to decide what privileges we do and do not get

Even though those who are vaccinated still spread it to others 🤷‍♂️

Why? when it has been proven some who have had the jab can still catch covid and pass it on, Time to follow the money trail.

The Phillipine president has threatened to start jailing the unvaccinated?

Why should the government discriminate over how immunity is achieved? Neither having a vaccine nor having a negative nasal swab prove immunity. How will the government know who has seroconverted and who hasn't? And those who have already been infected and have natural immunity?

Slow vaccine rollout may prove to be a ‘positive’ for Australia’s economy | Sky News AustraliaSky News contributor Peter Switzer says the slow pace of the vaccine rollout may actually turn out to be a “positive” for the nation’s economy since the closed borders are forcing Australians to spend their money at home. \n\n“In many ways the opening of our borders is going to be a very important step forward for the economy,” he said.\n\n“You’ve got to remember, something like $65 billion is spent by Australians every year when they go overseas. That money is here and, in a sense, it’s creating a lot of stimulus for the economy. \n\n“We wouldn’t want this to go on forever.\n\n“I think the AstraZeneca problems on one hand have slowed up the opening of our economy, but on the other hand I guess the fact that our vaccination program’s so slow … it might prove to be a positive in the end”. \n Stupid comment. Australia-UK trade agreement a ‘win-win’ for both sides | Sky News AustraliaAustralia and the United Kingdom’s free trade agreement is a “win-win” for both sides, according to Victoria Treadell.\n\nMs Treadell, the British high commissioner to Australia, said she hoped to see tariffs “come right down” over more than a decade. \n\n“This is a win-win for both sides, it is about economic growth and jobs,” she told Sky News Australia.\n\n“For our consumers, I think this is where the great benefit will come from greater choice and lower cost, particularly as we move towards the tariff-free elements that are enshrined in the agreement in principle as we nut that out and finalise the detail into the full-blown free trade agreement.\n\n“The opportunity for Australian farmers, for example, back into the UK market.\n\n“If you take your lamb meat industry, currently it can face up to 80 per cent tariffs on Australian lamb going into the UK and you have a similar picture on your beef.\n\n“Our ambition, over a 10 to 15-year phasing period, is to see those tariffs come right down.” Well, the current High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Australia would say that, wouldn't she? How come you never called out ScottMorrisonMP for travelling O/S while Australia is the only democracy who doesn't allow citizens to leave? I should know as I've applied 20 times for an exemption. He also didn't have to pay 3k in quarantine. auspol MurdochGutterMedia

‘Hard reality’ of minimum wage increase | Sky News AustraliaBusiness Council of Australia CEO Jennifer Westacott says Australia’s boosted minimum wage is “pretty high” compared to other countries but cautions that there is a “hard reality” that comes with it. \n\nThe Fair Work Commission this week announced an $18.80 a week minimum wage increase which will see the new base rate of pay at $20.33 an hour or about $770 a week – equating to more than $40,000 a year. \n\n“It’s a pretty high minimum wage relative to other countries,” Ms Westacott told Sky News Australia. \n\n“The commission has kind of delayed it for some of those sectors that are still at risk.\n\n“But for small business in some of those sectors at risk, and it’s a big impost, and if money is not coming in the door and you’re putting people’s wages up there’s only one choice for you – employ less people.\n\n“That’s the hard reality of these things.\n\n“I thought the commission made a careful decision, I thought their decision to delay things was right, of course we want to see people get higher wages, but you’ve got to be careful that you’re not adding risk.\n\n“We’re not sure what’s around the corner at the moment, and some of these sectors are still – they’re just getting back on their feet and they’ve got to be able to get that momentum and be able to sustain those wage increases, to sustain their business getting back on their feet.\n\n“It puts a risk, particularly for mid-sized small businesses.” Maybe take the millions handed to Execs and money from Jobseeker to people like Gerry Harvey and give it to the workers. Whats the average pay rise for a CEO these days? Yes. Let’s hope the poor don’t forget their station in life. Is it the high tax rate, or the soaring cost of living?
