I find those laws alarming. No one under 18 should be strip searched without a parent or guardian present. These laws nee changing asap.

OK team. Lets have Qld figures for strip search. May give us a clue to the cause, and ultimate remedy. Seems logical to me to fact check all states and the publish the results.

This is abuse. No excuses. Must never happen again to anyone.

Probably all Aboriginal - their lives count less than white lives do don't they? I'm being sarcastic by the way , it's a hangover from my theatre past

Put it this way : there is a giant spot light in strip searches & the cops would be nuts to do them for the wrong reasons ie: don’t live their hair , person answers back etc etc . Bad idea. Spot light is on !! Black mark against cops name , dragged t the courts .

Ps : don’t visit NSW !!!😱

Is the strip search filmed ? And can a male cop strip a female ? My grand parents would roll in their grave if they knew what Australia has become . A land where a stranger ( cop ) can say , ‘show me your genitils . Is that what they fought Hitler for ? Dear god !

By presenting this in a gendered manner the ABC/or whoever cobbled together the stats, is implying that the strip search of underage girls is both a greater outrage and more newsworthy than that of little boys. What a disgrace. BoysAreChildrenToo

‘Underage’ ... is there an age limit on strip searching ?

Apparently we're all fine with police diving into the jocks of underage boys. Why wouldn't this story be about children? SexismThrives

Why is it ok at any time, except after arrest, and only then with 'just cause'. Dogs are an illegal search. This what happens in a country with no bill of rights and a police force full of fascist pervert criminals.

Who put you under pressure and had your podcast removed?

Why only mention girls? What’s the figure on boys or do they not count 🙄

Why you hiding the comments ?

So it's ok for the treasurer to suggest boycotting banks over lack of interest rate cut pass on, but not ok for protesters to suggest boycotting those same 4 banks for boycotting Adani?

The same small screaming no nothing greenies , using technology that mining industry makes possible, this in turn, makes their/our lives possibles using metals ect. (to make wind mills) total hypocrites..and the ABC and the rest of the fake media amplify their noise/screaming

Daily news pod TheSignal follows two women on the worst 88 days of their trip, as they try to extend their visas. Apple Podcasts: ABC Listen: angelavoipierre Sorry. All I felt was 'If you can only fill 100 punnets in a day, you're not employable anywhere, certainly on a farm. Go home, get a job & grow up'. Maybe I missed something, it isn't a story worthy of being on this quality program. That it's your flatmate just makes it worse.

Could Airbnb's party house crackdown affect your next stay?Airbnb has announced a ban on party houses following a shooting at a Californian rental. Guess so if you're planning a party where your guests are encouraged to bring a gun & shoot each other. no, because there is no way on earth I'd ever stay at an AirBnB. WHY does the ABC need to clickbait? Shouldn’t it just be real, respectable news, current affairs and sensible journalism? Not crap like this?
