"We've got people in Syria, in Africa, in all of the parts of the world, which have historically had these crops grown for thousands of years," Mr Minogue said. "GRDC have got a lot of investments around transpiration efficiency and allocation of carbon and we've done a lot of work on looking at the implications of a higher carbon dioxide level in atmosphere.
Mr Minogue said it could take a while for the crops to be available to farmers, but he knew the clock was ticking.

Drought has nothing to do with climate change in Australia as the tiny amount of extra heat just causes water to turn over in the atmosphere a bit faster, so more rain. As for the crops, they were developed over thousands of years, as the climate varied over time and location.🙄
The Aboriginal people farmed most of this continent sustainably for millenia.We already have the answers if we look back to the past.I recommend everyone should read the book Dark Emu. It describes what a lush land Australia was before sheep / cattle / settlers destroyed the land

We have about 100 years of good weather data.... just because something is melting it doesn’t equate to disaster. Maybe you have a magical device that the scientist don’t have... probably not. It’s a cycle we don’t understand nor have the metrics to make such assumptions.
