Musicians unable to ply their trade are floating the idea of live music bubble, but some in the industry say a vaccine passport would be a better option.

Live musicians fed up with the uncertainty of border closures, venue restrictions and cancelled festivals say the industry should explore an NRL-style COVID-19 bubble.QMusic boss Kris Stewart says a "vaccine passport" that allows musicians to tour may be an option

The Gympie Music Muster has had to cancel for the second year in a row as interstate borders were closed amid the growing crisis in Sydney. "These are the times you need to get out on the road to create a direct line of contact between yourself and your audience.Queensland country music legend Graeme Connors was due to play the Gympie Music Muster before it was cancelled earlier this year."We're willing to do that as the sport teams are willing to do it as well," he said.William Barton, seen here playing with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, is backing the bubble idea.

The management of the NRL pushed to get that bubble. Who is music's manager? There isn't one... cry all you like but unless you organise yourselves, no one will do it for you.
