The entire Australian athletics team has been put into lockdown in reaction to a COVID-19 positive from a rival athlete.
There are fears a number of athletes may have interacted with Kendricks, with Australian pole vaulter Kurtis Marschall confirmed as a close contact.Australian officials are still uncertain what the close contact means for the athletics team, with competition beginning on Friday.Marschall, who was the pole vault gold medallist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and several other members have immediately had COVID-19 tests.
