Speaking in a to-camera interview, safe from the tension, Abbie told producers: “She’s horrible … Why is Matt even friends with her?” which doesn’t bode well considering Kate is Matt’s closest friend.The situation intensified with Kate requesting a moment to herself and promptly walking away from a confused Abbie, right in the middle of their conversation.“What the actual f***?,” Abbie blurted to producers as Kate walked off.
Earlier in the season, when Kate first met Abbie, she shared the popular view that the 23-year-old was not on the show for the right reasons — chasing notoriety rather than love.
