Great the abc doing ads for the LNP!!! They don’t even need to make they’re own now!

..... and raising his rates by 30% to assist property owners to meet the $150k benchmark.... nice guy! 👌

Morrison/Frydenburg responsible for largest transfer from taxpayer to private sector, enhancing private wealth holdings. No return to taxpayers on investment. Needs to be a commercial return or assets in public hands.

Did they teargas the poor out of the way to get this photo? Where's his bible?

Lol dogshit

ABC - so sad how far you have fallen, not even trying anymore.

Good start... but this won’t be instant, you need a building permit and maybe Planning Permit...... there goes 6 months of dealing with council, VCAT and appeals..... make that 12 months

All RenoRorts quotes went up $25k today.

Liberal connections?

This is BS. Did the ABC background this bloke? Probably referred to ABC by Liberal party insider. This is not journalism.

...welfare in all but name...feeble and fragile...and sponsored by the taxpayer...

Glad to see the ABC haven’t been bullied and beaten down to the point of shamelessly publishing government propaganda 👍👍👍

Lol. The $25k will go straight into his pocket as he increases his ‘costs’. The moment the last first home buyers grant was released, new homes magically and instantly increased by the $32k the govt was handing out. It’s a massive rort that benefits only builders and developers.

What a fool

Only for those rich with mansions renovation, not the plebs

He would already have had access to the Supporting Apprentices and Trainees Wage subsidy as part of CV. 50% wage subsidised. I do not put his new capacity to hire simply down to this new Homebuilder package. I call this BS. RenoRort

ABC flicks the switch to 'LNP Support' LNProrts

Govt's HomeBuilder plan a 'missed opportunity' | Sky News AustraliaThe government's HomeBuilder scheme isn't comprehensive enough to bolster the construction sector, which is facing a potential 40 per cent downturn due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to Deputy Labor leader Jim Chalmers.\n\nAustralians wanting to build a new home or make major renovations will now be eligible for $25,000 grants to turbo-charge the construction industry.\n\nTo be eligible, individual applicants must earn less than $125,000 a year, or $200,000 for couples.\n\nThey must also sign a contract between July and December, and the new home can only be worth up to $750,000. \n\nThose wanting to renovate, must spend at least $150,000 on the work.\n\nMr Chalmers said while the construction sector will welcome 'any assistance it can get' the government's plan is a 'missed opportunity.'\n\n'If you really want to support jobs in the building industry, you need a more comprehensive plan than this,' he said.\n\n'It's pretty amazing when you think about it, they found $700 million for a program, but a not a cent for public housing.\n\n'It's a way to invest in jobs but also create a lasting investment for vulnerable people in our society.\n\n'So I think in that respect it is a bit of a missed opportunity.'\n\n\n\n\n\n JEChalmers Home building scheme is another lnp marketing program, unfortunately open to rebadging as homeBludger scheme. VeritasEver JEChalmers There is a good chance the $25,000 grant for large renovations will dampen demand for smaller projects.

Homebuyers grant: Scott Morrison’s HomeBuilder scheme pannedBattlers who will miss out on the new $25,000 HomeBuilder grant have lashed the Prime Minister for the “outrageous” handouts to the wealthy. Who is the scheme really for? You need a home valued at about $2-3 million to make it financially viable. Then you have to spend about or more than a years income (before tax) so you are eligible Looks nothing in it for the pensioners and families that have lost income. So, basically useless for pretty much everyone. Just means that if you are renovating now, you get to upgrade the inventory. Great scheme. 👍 It’s for the already wealthy
