Chris Lawrence on his impending retirement, how he wants to be remembered at Wests Tigers, Benji Marshall's future and his favourite players.

Chris Lawrence already knows how he wants to be remembered by Wests Tigers fans after announcing his retirement.

The 31-year-old, who first burst onto the scene as a blond speedster from Campbelltown, realised after the COVID-19 break he would not have the drive to keep going beyond this year. Marshall and Lawrence remain the link to the club's fantastic past. If Lawrence was a betting man, he would back Marshall to play on into 2021.

"I went into lockdown and worked hard on my business, I enjoyed that challenge, and then coming back, the week-to-week grind of getting the body right and mentally doing the work, I didn't think I could do that another 12 months.Lawrence launched One Wellbeing, which he says ''inspires, empowers and educates business leaders and athletes''. The business was the simple reason he never had an interest in finishing his career in the Super League.

Guards, guests and senior ministers to give evidence at hotel quarantine inquiry | Sky News AustraliaSenior government ministers, guests and private security guards will be called to give evidence at the hotel quarantine inquiry which is currently underway in Victoria.\n\nThe inquiry has revealed the hotel quarantine program was set up in 48 hours and there was a rush to organise the different government departments and agencies.\n\nUnfortunately, many of the roles were overlapping which led to confusion over which department was responsible for a particular part of the program.\n\nThe modules used to train the security guards have also been criticised as being confusing and misleading on the topic of facemasks. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia Probably all lie like most officials seem to always do The security guards would only cooperate if they were promised immunity from any requests to look at their internet browsing history or orders at Subway Sandwich outlets. I hope the truth comes out. Cuomo might go down for third degree murder. Craig Kelly said Dan might get 25 years. Well, let's see how [Knowingly] he killed aged care residents just to take a political jab at the Libs. That is horrible if true.
