Smoke covers Sydney for second day amid hazard reduction burns | Sky News AustraliaResidents in Sydney will wake up to another day of smoke as hazard reduction burns continue to be carried out. \n\nLarge parts of metropolitan Sydney will experience poor air quality today with areas around Penrith, Richmond and Liverpool to be the worst affected. \n\nResidents are warned to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities and exercise and those with asthma or who are sensitive to smoke are being told to remain indoors and keep windows closed. \n\nThe RFS are conducting hazard reduction burns in Campbelltown, Sutherland, the northern beaches, and the Blue Mountains - but have suspended some burns to let the smoke settle.\n If it helps prevent worse fires in summer then it is worth it. Just like they have been for years. Ohhh wait Sky News ran with the narrative that reduction burns don’t occur anymore during the 19/20 bushfires. Again, Sky News losing. So much losing. More losing than Trump.
