Higher sanctions will also be introduced for those contaminating childcare centres, hospitals and school.  "The law currently lacks an ability on contamination grounds to recall a product, unless it's impacting that end consumer, so these new powers would allow us to act earlier and at the top of the supply chain," EPA chief executive Tony Chappel said.Environment Minister Penny Sharpe said the new rules are hoped to be a deterrent.
