Queensland has recorded zero new local cases of Covid-19 as it reveals a new age group is eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.

Vaccine rates in the state have languished for those aged under 40 amid supply issues but the Premier will now offer the preferred dose for younger recipients to others following “loud” calls from older age groups.

“There is only one way we win the war and that is to get as many Queenslanders as possible vaccinated,” Ms Palaszczuk said. In federal figures released on Tuesday, just over 20 per cent of those aged 16-19 had received their first dose of the vaccine, about 30 per cent of 20-24 year olds and 34 per cent of those aged 25-29.

West Australians over 60 to be made eligible for Pfizer from MondayWA Health Minister Roger Cook said 'time was of the essence' when it came to getting the whole state vaccinated. 9News SA & WA are ahead of the pack here , good on them for making Pfizer available to EVERYONE including over 60 yos. Another reason I wish my wife and I lived in WA or SA and not the Delta Shithole Gladys and ScoMo have created in NSW. Israel failed with 2 jabs! Started so called 3rd and 4th booster jabs. Africa is doing better as they are taking artemisinin. India and Japan started Ivermectin! Who is collecting money from the vaccine? Who is responsible for the side effects?Time to have alternate treatments!

SA year 11 and 12 students given priority access to jabs, over 60s book Pfizer in 'record numbers'The South Australian government has announced year 11 and 12 students will able to get the Pfizer vaccine at state-run clinics without making an appointment for the rest of the month. And those over 60 can also book a Pfizer appointment. 'Over 60s selfish to the max in record numbers' Fixed that for you While Victoria burns its utterly disgusting this is happening. Redirect vaccines there, and let the buffet demanders wait so those in most need to can have it How can over 60s access Pfizer when we can't in Victoria as we don't have enough? Over 60s realise that Pfizer has slightly lower efficacy against severe illness than AZ right? That slightly lower might become not so slight concern for someone who's 85

'bout time. jennifer_curtin Such a hypocritical society fancy representing ‘your country’ around 70 times and not getting citizenship. Perhaps they should play NZ anthem at start of game too
