The BBC has been criticised for a headline used in its coverage of Ms Ardern's resignation, prompting the broadcaster to make a change.

A headline used by the BBC in its coverage of Jacinda Ardern's resignation has drawn criticism online. While Ms Ardern's popularity rose internationally, at home she has faced growing political headwinds., which has been described as "staggering sexism".on Thursday, saying she spent the summer considering her future and concluded that she no longer has "enough in the tank" to seek re-election.

The story starts by discussing Ms Ardern's widespread popularity, with many of her fans being women who have followed her journey from new prime minister to working mother and looked up to her as a role model. Sangita Myska, a British television presenter, said she was "saddened to see such a reductive, sexist and inaccurate headline from the BBC World".

"Jacinda Ardern has been a longstanding leader and international hero. Because of her, many more women have bigger aspirations and will enjoy bigger successes," she wrote. The BBC World News account later said the original tweet "has been deleted as the headline has been updated".

the next lider for sure will be dominated or brain washed by America against China

misogynistic bullshit

Wake up media! The Ardern government manipulated the media (PJIF) and subverted democracy (Pae Ora Act, Water Services Entities Act). This is all documented in government legislation and related documents. All clearly unconstitutional in America. Do some research!

The BBC is a paid for hit rag.. she's a worthless target.

a hopeless politican

Good riddance, socialist sociopath. If we can defund BBC and SBS too, that would be great

Pathetic

No Otho g to do with the fact that she destroyed NZ and terrorized its people. Give me a break, she belongs in prison.

It was disgraceful - straight of the 1950’s.

BBC run by Tory’s

Does anyone take much notice of the BBC anymore? Lets face it, it is just a British/US/NATO propaganda outlet. Sadly, SBS and our ABC is similarly treading that path... !!

Lots of male university (politics etc) lecturers commenting… Uniformly tedious.

I thought the BBCWorld headline was sympathetic to jacindaardern - but anyway let the Woke mob who have no better ideas than your comments should be ‘my way or the highway’ or else they will rip them down and destroy them have their 15minutesOfFame auspol AndyWarhol BBC

It is indeed staggering, tone deaf misogyny
