A “spaceplane” that boasts an innovative new engine and flies 25 times faster than the speed of sound has passed a crucial test.

The hypersonic plane is so fast it could jet from London to New York in less than 60 minutes and transport you from the UK to Australia in four hours.

The pre-cooler is critical in the plane’s development because it is required to stop the engine from melting by lowering the temperature of compressed air in the engine from more than 1000C to room temperature in one-twentieth of a second. Sabre is intended to be much lighter than a conventional rocket engine because it would carry less fuel-oxidant.

Tax cuts will increase the gap ‘between rich and poor’ | Sky News AustraliaFULL INTERVIEW: Figures published by the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling have claimed the Coalition’s tax cuts regime will increase the gap between the rich and the poor.\n\nProfessor Robert Tanton told Sky News Political Editor David Speers that the Coalition’s planned tax package, slated to be fully implemented in 2024-25, will ‘increase inequality.’\n\nUnder the Coalition’s plan, in 2024-25 the marginal tax rate on incomes between $45,000 to $200,000 will be reduced to 30 per cent, in a bid to flatten Australia’s tax system.\n\nLabor has indicated it is not planning to support the Coalition's bid to flatten Australia's tax rate.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n NATSEM_UC David_Speers I don't care about the gap. Comparisons with others don't hurt. The poor are getting richer compared to previous generations, and leaving poverty quicker. Flat tax doesn't tax poor people more. It doesn't hurt anyone in reality, just the jealous types. NATSEM_UC David_Speers Be wary of a govt who punish the disadvantaged and thinks that it is OK to struggle NATSEM_UC David_Speers How does it “increase inequality”? People who earn over $45k are already paying more tax than anyone else; especially those on welfare. It is only natural to have the rich and poor, it’s a balanced scale. And $200k is no longer consider as rich in the 21st century.

RMIT ABC Fact Check investigates. I guess just like ages care the government makes ‘efficiencies’ or ‘cost savings’ but they’re definitely not cuts aye? Coalition is in BIG trouble. People over fifty, many millions, will knock on their doors. How about parking costs at NSW hospitals? Many have no on street parking, so you are forced to use their expensive parking lots, but even the disabled receive no concessions when visiting a specialist in an on-campus suite.
