New South Wales residents are still barred from entering South Australia due to coronavirus concerns despite borders being lifted for ACT residents.

SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said the risk of a cross-border case was too high to forgo a mandatory quarantine period for NSW residents, however health officials would continue to monitor the situation.

He said ideally they were looking for 14 days of zero community transmission, “which would give us the comfort to remove that 14-day quarantine [period]”. Those flying from the ACT will be required to declare they had not visited any coronavirus hotspots upon arrival in SA, with those caught lying facing heavy fines or prosecution. No plans to lift the SA hard border with Victoria have yet been announced.

South Australia revokes quarantine requirement for ACT travellers, but not for NSWSouth Australia will relax its border restrictions with the ACT from midnight tonight — but restrictions on people from New South Wales will remain in place indefinitely. How about Queanbeyan residents who work in ACT? If seems strange that no town west of ACT has any cases yet only ACT and only flying. Not a reasonable decision! As if quarantining people with a cold is going to make a big difference, let alone quarantining healthy individuals. So, STOP ACTING LIKE MORONS! The covid jig is up!
