South Australia is lifting restrictions for travellers from the ACT from midnight on Tuesday.

The state closed its borders to all domestic travellers in March, requiring anyone who crossed the borders quarantine for a 14-day period. Residents from New South Wales and Victoria will still have to undergo quarantine upon entering the state.

Police have said they will be monitoring arrivals carefully to ensure people from New South Wales do not try and fly into South Australia via Canberra. Anyone found to have lied on declaration forms provided will face a $1,000 fine and possible prosecution.

Allowing ACT people but disallowing NSW people. Why? How much further madness like this can Australia cop. We should never ever allow beaurecrats to control our movements again.

Scomo has not mentioned SA border closures once. Why's that?

the Cessna out of Canberra to Adelaide still won't be very full

Looking forward to South Australia being a test case for allowing the virus to spread. Hopefully it won't kill too many of us. Not surprised the Premier didn't have the guts to announce the decision himself.

Is this Australia? Getting beyond ridiculous

South Australia opens borders to ACT | Sky News AustraliaSouth Australian Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has announced the state will open its border to ACT residents, however visiting New South Wales residents will still be forced to quarantine.\n\n“We are requiring people to make a declaration on their pre-approval, and we expect people to be honest,” he said.\n\nThe Police Commissioner said South Australia would “continue to monitor the performance of NSW as it relates to community transmission.\n\n“Ideally we’ll be looking for a 14-day period with no community transmission in NSW which would give us the comfort to remove that 14-day quarantine,' Mr Stevens said. \n\n“We are advised daily by health in terms of where we currently sit.”\n\nImage: News Corp Australia So Canberraians will be beamed up and into SA without setting foot in NSW, dick heads Sounds suspect. Gotta move the news cycle past Morrison's shameful disrespect of the dead and their family. Heartless bastard. I'm sure the PM was happy to call in a favour from the SA Libs.

South Australia to drop border restrictions with ACT from midnight tonightBreaking Travellers flying in from Canberra will no longer need to quarantine for 14 days but will not be allowed to arrive by road. Would that make a difference to people from NSW and the ACT? SBS Why not by road? 😕

South Australia revokes quarantine requirement for ACT travellers, but not for NSWSouth Australia will relax its border restrictions with the ACT from midnight tonight — but restrictions on people from New South Wales will remain in place indefinitely. How about Queanbeyan residents who work in ACT? If seems strange that no town west of ACT has any cases yet only ACT and only flying. Not a reasonable decision! As if quarantining people with a cold is going to make a big difference, let alone quarantining healthy individuals. So, STOP ACTING LIKE MORONS! The covid jig is up!

New COVID-19 hotspot emerges in Melbourne's south-eastNew infections in Narre Warren and Hallam in Melbourne’s south-east have raised concerns about socio-economic and cultural barriers preventing the containment of coronavirus. VictorianCHO is supposed to be independent and yet clearly he and the Premeir discuss talking points and tactics ahead of the pressers. He needs to stop being so controlled by Dan. Will the whole state continue to be punished if these pockets of the State continue to have clusters because they don’t (appear to) adhere to the rules? clueless.
