Source:South Australia will make the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination available to all residents aged over 12 years, including those above 60.
Premier Steven Marshall confirmed the move in a social media post on Saturday, with South Australia becoming the second Australian jurisdiction, after the Northern Territory, to offer over-60s the Pfizer jab."From Monday, children aged 12 to 15 and people aged 60 and over will be able to book in for Pfizer vaccinations at state-run clinics," Mr Marshall posted on his Facebook page.
"It's part of our plan to accelerate our pathway out of the pandemic as we add more than 60,000 new appointments from next week." will become the first state in the nation to offer the Pfizer jab to anyone over 12 years of age, including those over 60, at state-run clinics.
Wow, they must have lots of Pfizer to waste then. In Victoria, we are struggling to get Pfizer appointments for those under under 50.
Lets get with it DanielAndrewsMP we need Pfizer for Overs 60's in VIC
Aushiker Another reason not take that second rate AZ crap ...👇
Pfizer definitely should be open to people over 60. It offers faster full protection and a greater protection capability. Older people often look after children, who may infect hem. AZ isnt suitable for lots of people with lung conditions.
Sounds like they have too much Pfizer. We need it our younger people in vic
Gave up waiting for Pfizer here in the West for over 60’s. I have booked for my first AZ at end of Sept, second one mid Nov. Watching things unfold over East I figure if we are forced at some stage to open our borders it’s better to take what’s on offer and get it done.
About time
If it encourages them the become vaccinated, whatever it takes.
