An explosion targeting a tourist bus has injured at least 12 people, mostly South African tourists, near the Giza pyramids in Egypt

An explosion targeting a tourist bus has injured at least 12 people, mostly South African tourists, near a new museum being built close to the Giza pyramids in Egypt, two security sources say.

Security and judicial sources said a rudimentary device containing nails and pieces of metal had been detonated remotely on the perimeter of the Grand Egyptian Museum, not far from the site of a roadside blast that hit another tourist bus in December. South Africa's foreign ministry said staff from its embassy in Egypt were visiting hospitals to check on the reported injuries.

There was no damage to the museum from the blast, which happened 50 metres from its outer fence and more than 400 metres from the museum building, the Antiquities Ministry said in a statement.Egyptians back laws that could keep President Sisi in power until 2030

SA rapist who kept kidnapped backpacker in pig shed jailed for 18 yearsA South Australian man who kidnapped and raped a European backpacker in a pig shed on his regional property has been jailed for 18 years ... and so he should, that's fair.... yet Borce Ristevski is sentenced to nine years in jail and was ordered to serve a non-parole period of six years? Borce Ristevski should be 18+ years. Where's the deterrent? He needs to be castrated immediately. Chemical or preferably surgical. Should have had ten years for the kidnap and deprivation of liberty. Don't get me started on the rape.
