Coffee from the other end of the Earth

So let’s talk some more about bread , following on from John Turnell, who broke inner-city ranks by disparaging sourdough, known locally as the Bread of Heaven, but not to all those outside that geographical area, it seems.

John Kouvelis, of what he calls “Northern Neutral Bay Heights ” but the rest of us call the middle of Neutral Bay, adds, “I always ask for a steak knife with my bacon and eggs to saw through the rock-hard sourdough toast beneath.” Trouble continues with fuel gauges. Bob Roobottom of Taree remembers a Kawasaki motorcycle he bought in 2001. “When I requested a test ride, the gauge was almost on empty. ‘Don’t worry,’ they said. After buying one and filling the tank, I found that I travelled for about 80kms before the gauge moved from ‘Full’, and when it showed ‘Empty’ I could still do about 90kms before it ran dry.”
