Witnesses have described chaotic, confronting and confusing scenes inside Westfield Bondi Junction as multiple people were stabbed before an armed man was killed by police.
"We were just in the back room, on the phone with police, trying to figure out what's going on," he said. "I thought I was going to die. I thought we were going to be shot and killed. We thought he had a gun. We didn't know it was a knife."
