Five people have been fatally stabbed and several others are fighting for life after a knifeman chased shoppers at Westfield Bondi Junction. Police have confirmed the attacker was shot dead at the scene and believe he was acting alone. A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said eight people were taken to hospital. Police said several are in a critical or serious condition. Swathes of police swarmed Westfield Bondi Junction on Saturday about 4pm on reports multiple people had been stabbed.
