Prior to the incident, authorities had reportedly received an emergency call from the 16-year-old who said he was going to commit “acts of violence” at around 10pm on Saturday night at Willetton , in Perth .

Picture: Supplied Despite repeated commands, the teenager allegedly failed to comply and lunged towards the officers. Two officers tasered the boy before a third officer discharged the fatal shot. Police have declared the incident has “all the hallmarks” of a terrorist attack but it has not been declared as one yet.
It is understood the teenager had a troubled history and had been enrolled in a “deradicalisation” program since age 13.
