Managing Editor at Shadowproof in London kgosztola says Julian Assange's legal team have been told Mr Assange has depression, evidence which the defence is putting forward to discourage the extradition of Mr Assange to the United States.

Managing Editor at Shadowproof in London Kevin Gosztola says Julian Assange's legal team have been told Mr Assange has depression, evidence which the defence is putting forward to discourage the extradition of Mr Assange to the United States. It comes as there have recently been “serious concerns” about the mental health of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, according to Sky News host Brent O’Halloran.

The charges against Mr Assange, which include allegations of conspiring to hack government computers and espionage, could lead to a maximum sentence of 175 years behind bars. “What we’re hearing from Assange’s legal team about Julian Assange’s health is that they had doctors who – at least one – diagnosed him with severe depression, the others found he had moderate depression,” Mr Gosztola told Mr O’Halloran.

kgosztola Denied, devoiced, and dehumanised in a glass box, Julian Assange can never be defaced. He lays bare the farcical hyporacy of democracy, human rights and freedom of the press in the west. Humanity is indeed at its lowest ebb. Shame! Shame! Shame!

kgosztola Thank you, Sky News Australia, for heeding the reporting of journalist Gosztola, who fills the vacuum left by other media that ignore this case.

kgosztola Free Julian Assange

kgosztola Assange should not be in prison. The whole case is absurd.

kgosztola Some incredible court reporting from kgosztola. Much appreciated!

kgosztola It’s bullshit. Legal games. Next he’ll be pregnant and unable to fly.

kgosztola Kevin has done such a wonderful job covering the hearings. Thank you Sky News for inviting him on. DropTheChargesUSA JournalismIsNotACrime FreeJulianAssangeNow
