Sky News contributor JaneMarwick says the terrible impact of tough border lockdowns implemented across Australia on families indicates the solution has become worse than the problem.

Sky News contributor Jane Marwick says the terrible impact of tough border lockdowns implemented across Australia on families indicates the solution has become worse than the problem.

“We now know a lot more about this virus than we did in March, April, May,” Ms Marwick told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “It is absolutely terrible, children are really suffering, parents are suffering and we don’t talk enough about the mental health implications of separating families. “Is the solution now worse than the problem.”

JaneMarwick Open the borders, take the bans of the cure, get back to life, resist “new normal”. When have we trusted politicians before? Why now? We are being lied to Australia. SackDanAndrews DictatorDan FreeVictoria DanLiedPeopleDied DanMustGo

JaneMarwick No shit

JaneMarwick More bullshit. “It's obvious that he's a Labor premier and News Corp has been campaigning against the Labor Party in Australia at the state and federal levels for decades,” Dr Muller said. via TheFeedSBS

JaneMarwick Jane who

JaneMarwick Those who tell us covid doesn't discriminate are liars. Obese, smoke, drink, over 90 (yep we all die) insulin resistant, you are at risk. Those who have prioritised their health are paying (and will pay for decades) for your selfish stupidity.

JaneMarwick Stop peddling bull shit

JaneMarwick Morrison is opening up the international borders then?

Revised fiscal strategy setting Australia up for a 'hell of a deficit' | Sky News AustraliaSky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the government’s revised fiscal strategy is setting Australia up for a “hell of a deficit” ahead of the October 6 budget.\n\nTreasurer Josh Frydenberg on Thursday revealed the government’s budget repair approach will be replaced with ongoing targeted and proportionate spending to drag Australia out of recession.\n\nIn place of the previous fiscal strategy there will now be a two phase approach.\n\nThe first is about boosting confidence and getting Australians back to work.\n\nThe second will happen when Australia’s recovery is in full swing, with Mr Frydenberg making it clear that won’t occur until unemployment is below six per cent.\n\n“I’ve been talking about (a deficit of) $200 billion; one wonders if it will actually be bigger,” Mr Clennell said.\n\n“We’ve had the biggest support in our history, $101 billion for JobKeeper alone.\n\n“We know there will be a lot less tax revenue, particularly after the Victorian lockdown.\n\n“And we know they’re going to cut income tax and maybe company tax.”\n aclennell Remember when our debt and deficit was so much smaller under Labor and all you Newscorpse fools shoved a budget emergency lie down our throats? So... is there a budget emergency now or does that only apply when Labor is in government? auspol aclennell Stating the obvious. I appreciate the LNP going against their normal conservative economic policies and providing the $Billions of tax payer money for extra welfare support during this pandemic. 👍👍👍 aclennell 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

There are issues in the COVID response ‘which can’t be ignored’ | Sky News AustraliaThere are a number of issues “at the centre of this coronavirus response” which simply can’t be ignored according to Sky News host Alan Jones. \n\n“The two most prominent are, in the first instance, the expectation from governments that we will or should surrender to each and every one of their totalitarian dictates,” he said. \n\nThe second is the “total denial of freedom inherent in all of this”. \n\nMr Jones said for months Australians have been ordered what to do “with not one syllable of evidence that validates the orders”. \n“This betrays every known precept of what is just, which dates back centuries”. \n\nMr Jones also said he is not prepared to accept the total “denial of freedom inherent in all of this”. \n\n“I for one, Alan Jones, am not prepared to accept that because Daniel Andrews says so or Gladys Berejiklian or Annastacia Palaszczuk, or even Scott Morrison – just because they order us, does that mean they are right?”\n\n“Where is the evidence?” \n\n“Why has not one politician told the nation that 99% of cases are mild”. \n I have many issues with Alan Jones Think the government is overreaching? Complain too much about your lost liberties & you’ll be castigated as irresponsible, putting the lives of others at risk and who clearly hates old people. Fear has made us that desperate; so desperate we’re demanding safety at any cost.

There is 'no statistical evidence the lockdowns work', yet policies remain unchanged | Sky News AustraliaThe Australian’s Adam Creighton says while it feels like lockdowns should work, data from around the world shows “there is no statistical evidence that they do”.\n\n“The volume of cases rises and falls basically regardless of what different countries do,” Mr Creighton told Sky News host Peta Credlin. \n\nMr Creighton said people ought to be skeptical or cynical about the incentives of the bureaucracy and the government, considering it’s September and we’ve learnt more about the virus, yet there seems to have been no change to their policies. \n\n“They’re just people, like everyone else, and they are self-interested and frankly, when you’re analysing why there hasn’t been a change of mind, it’s at least partly because it’s very embarrassing, I think for leaders to say that they might have been wrong, that they might have overreacted,” he said. \n\n“Also they are, to some extent, benefitting from this whole saga, they’re in the media every day, their incomes haven’t gone down.\n\n“All of the costs of lockdown are basically falling on other people who have no say in the decision.”\n Adam_Creighton Lockdowns aren’t the answer at all. Hurts businesses and ruins the economy/livehoods Adam_Creighton Been saying for months lockdowns don’t change death rates ..... just fucks everyone’s lives Adam_Creighton Finally someone telling the TRUTH!! THANK YOU ADAM! 👏👏👏👏👏

China doesn't 'deserve the prestige and privilege' of hosting 2022 Winter Olympics | Sky News AustraliaChina should be stripped from hosting the 2022 Winter Olympic Games for the simple reason it doesn't 'deserve the prestige and privilege' of hosting such an important international forum according to Liberal Senator Eric Abetz. \n\nIt comes as widespread calls have emerged demanding China not host the upcoming Winter Games. \n\nSky News host Chris Kenny said China's treatment of minorities, imprisonment of vast numbers of dissenters and minorities, its virtual annexation of Hong Kong and its flagrant disregard for international law with its fortifications in the South China Sea are all reasons why there is a 'concerted push' by politicians for the Winter Games to be taken from the nation. \n\nMr Abetz said 'it's about time that the freedom loving countries of the world said to the communist dictatorship in China, enough is enough'. \n Australia should boycott the 2022 Winter Olympics. China is the enemy of the people I think no country wanted these 2022 Winter Games. Go google it. China did the IOC a favour and agreed to host it. I recall it was either Kazakhstan or China. Let them have it! It’s crap anyway. There's lots of stuff China doesn't deserve, including Australian passports
