A senior Army officer has admitted "warning flags" were present in the case of a veteran commando who took his own life after a downward spiral into alcoholism, domestic violence, drug abuse and mental illness.The commanding officer of a soldier who took his own life knew of his history of domestic violence, PTSD and alcohol

In evidence today, Brigadier Langford admitted he was fully aware of Corporal Turner's alcoholism, mental health problems, the domestic violence allegations against him and he knew the commando had been subjected to an apprehended violence order. Corporal Turner's wife, Joanna Turner, has previously given evidence she told Brigadier Langford, via a letter and subsequent meeting, about her husband's domestic violence, alcoholism and mental illness.

before you select men for the army get vigorous psychiatrist and psychology assesstment..as you sending men to kill others their mind should be sound. do an assessment every year than wait for them to start crying ..if you are not cut for it don't go and cry later.

Psilocybin has proven to be extremely effective in treating PTSD in just a few sessions. We should be giving people that option.

Absolutely terrible, and truly feel for our past and current serving members. The Government gets the best years of their life and then the Government let's them down immensely after service. We should have never of gone to Iraq war (was never UN sanctioned)
