Prime Minister Scott Morrison has defended a video posted on social media detailing the government's bushfire response after it was labelled"shameless" and a breach of political advertising rules.
The video, authorised by Mr Morrison and posted on Saturday, describes how the government is deploying up to 3000 defence force reservists in response to the ongoing crisis. It includes details of the defence ships and aircraft that have been deployed along with funding allocated for firefighting planes, volunteer firefighters and those who lost homes or incomes.
We’re putting more Defence Force boots on the ground, more planes in the sky, more ships to sea, and more trucks to roll in to support the bushfire fighting effort and recovery as part of our co-ordinated response to these terrible
