Prime Minister Scott Morrison has sought to repair strains in his relationships with state authorities after a crucial bushfire announcement caught emergency bosses by surprise.
"I was disappointed and I was frustrated on one of our busiest days," Mr Fitzsimmons said on Sunday of Saturday's announcement.RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons says he was disappointed to learn about the federal government's plans via the media.Victoria's Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp also confirmed he had received no official notification before the announcement.
Bullshit again and again
Unbelievable
Horseshit. Morrison didnt show people on the ground the respect they deserve, because they're doing a better job than him.
It’s labour’s fault as per usual FFS ScottMorrisonMP you’re only a man, prone to mistakes. Step up and acknowledge you stuffed up. Admitting there is a problem is the first step to your redemption
What a total lie! It ws never going to be appropriate for a Defence Liaison Officer to convey this news.
Why are we deploying more volunteers Scummo
He lies
ScottyfromMarketing has a long list of blamees, today's are Gladys and the defense forces
Of course - it’s always someone else’s fault isn’t it ScottMorrisonMP
Morrison. Do you make up these excuses on the run or do you have an advisor? The spin is not working anymore.. Go back to Hawaii let ADF and RFS run the show..
And then there's this. 😳
The best thing Scotty can do now is step aside and leave it the professionals. But I don't expect this will occur. He will want to claim points for each success, like it is his own.
He just passing the buck!
ScottMorrisonMP blames everyone accept himself. Step down and resign!💯
This bloke Scomo843 Roscommon_Cat has got to go loserscomo
MSMWatchdog2013 Yet another example of his lack of leadership - buck stops with him. Don’t throw troops under the bus when you had plenty time to plan while our taxpayer funded PMO was making its Lib Party ad. Incompetent idiot.
Yep. Again try to blame someone else. This man take no accountabilities for any wrong doing. Good luck Australia.
Nothing is ever his fault - he is becoming our very own trump.
Really SERIOUSLY?
Its a joke
Always an excuse. No responsibility taken
008moonside
Not Scott's fault. He was busy making an ad about how busy he's been.
Dollars to donuts, it was a PMO stuff up.
Bulldust Once more
surely that was Gladys’ responsibility?
Yeah, of course he would say that. But, he wasn’t at all slow to ring the NSW Police Commissioner to check on the investigation of his mate, Taylor, yet he can’t pickup the phone to the person who is leading the fire effort in NSW.
political_alert
Bullshit ScottMorrisonMP. Stop blaming public servants. If you can pick up the phone to the NSW Police Commissioner, to enquire about an investigation into Angus Taylor💧 you can do the same with the RFS Commissioner. AustraliaOnFire auspoI bushfirecrisis
Utter nonsense!
More excuses from Scottiebullshitinc.
What a shit show Scomo runs.
political_alert ScottyFromMarketting couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery! AustraliaBurns auspol AustraliaOnFire auspol
Always someone else’s fault.
Now that’s better spin ScottyFromMarketting !!
Yep. It wasn’t just a hurried, frantic attempt to look like you’re doing anything was it ScottMorrisonMP auspol AustraliaBurns ScottyfromMarketing
The conversation that never took place, but should have. 'Has everyone been informed on what we are going to do?' 'Yes sir' ' State and federal' ' Yes sir' ' And they are all on board with our proposal?' 'Yes sir' 'Are you sure?' '100% sir!' 'Then let's do the press conference'
'at the defence liason level' - translated as ‘oops I had a massive brain fart’. Seriously scottytheboneless
Everyone’s fault but his own - clearly he doesn’t think the buck stops with him
Here is his 'interested and pensive' pose. Fail.
ScottFromMarketing was more worried about his pretty add and the public praise he thought would come from this announcement. Letting the firies know he was sending help was a secondary consideration. auspoI AustraliaOnFire
He's been 'ratio-ed' again. Good move, Scotty. Well done.
ONE EMAIL!!!!! That’s all. Not phone calls! Fixed it..... except these idiots on the security committee didn’t think one click, in writing, everyone on the same f?!’ing page!!!
Stop with the bullshit .ScottMorrisonMP For just 5 minutes take responsibility for your, your office and your governments mistakes. Please!
Whatever LiarFromTheShire says, the opposite is probably true, so just add a 'maybe' at the end.
He’s got the direct phone number of the police commissioner but not the RFS.... sure...
How about he just takes the blame on his shoulders instead of blaming someone else all the time. So pathetic on his part. His stuff up to start with.
Isn't the point of marketing getting the message out everywhere ScottyfromMarketing ScottMorrisonMP? Blaming the underlings doesn't really cut it
blameO
It's not just a communication breakdown by this stupid govt, its been an empathy breakdown, a competence breakdown, a financial breakdown, a hide behind the military breakdown, a mateship breakdown, a common sense breakdown & most of all a common decency breakdown
He’s great at deflecting blame
This guy acts like he ain’t Prime Minister and in charge OF LITERALLY EVERYTHING IN THIS COUNTRY
Could Morrison actually run a chook raffle? I suspect not.
Don't !!!!
You should have picked up the phone ScottMorrisonMP. He’s doing a way better job than you ever could with the fires and you completely ignored him to get the glory but it’s backfired on you.
He’s just making it up as he goes along.
I stand with all the people including our PM that is trying to fight these fires together. To all the haters go volunteer and do something useful.
Making it up as he goes along. Reactive not pro active, having to be hounded to come back from Hawaii, hounded to compensate RFS volunteers, hounded to provide more resources, and now making excuse after excuse for his pathetic handling of a crisis he was slow to act on.
Morrison always ready to throw the blame onto someone else. auspol
What a dirt bag; always blaming someone else.
Lol, when does Smirko ever not have an excuse.
Liarfromtheshire .
If the federal government is in a word sending in the troops,it is up to the head of that government to inform, all the right people,ie the fire chiefs, etc.
I call bullshit on this
I wonder where does the buck stop? Who do we pay for that privilege? If it's too hard then resign mate.
This is Australia’s ADF who are incapable of communicating strategy to the person who is in charge of the fire response. This shows a complete breakdown of the chain of command. This is a massive fail. The minister had lost control of her portfolio. Lucky he made an ad.
“System is not working” “I didn’t get the email”
political_alert One simple word from someone who has worked at all different roles in an unfolding disaster. BULLSHIT. that is all
I reckon half the problem is not with Morrison specifically; but with those who are young enuf not 2 have experienced what a leader of a country means; they dont understand that in a calamity, the leader who has background and support in solving situations, coordinates a solution
somuchbullsh He's not fit to lead if he can't get sensitive communications right during traumatic national disasters. Pitiful at every level... delaying compensation to RSF etc... it's times like these that reveal the merit - or the daunting lack thereof - of so-called political leaders.
Can he not just apologise for once instead of blaming someone else? Hawaii..daughters fault. NYE ... wife's fault. Delayed response.. state premiers. Cobargo...media. Now someone in defence. He is a spineless grub NotMyPM
ScottyfromMarketing certainly loves the spin
Major announcement yet he does not call NSW premier or RFS commissioner to plan or set up but just makes decision & leaves it to lower levels to “communicate “. It would appear that there is not one person in the LNP that has a clue about leadership. This is what people vote for.
Fire chiefs too busy to watch the adverts perhaps?
Yep and IF that is the case Scomo is still the commander in chief of defence -'the C.E.O of company Australia' so bucko it still falls on your shoulders. Stop blaming everyone else- this is on you and your office.
So he could ring Gladys but not the fire Chief? 🤔
LiarFromTheShire Don’t believe anything this scumbag says.
Don't make a song and dance about it SBS news.
You had time to make an ad but not inform the fire chiefs?!?!
Lying under pressure. Lying when not under pressure. Morrison must resign.
oh FFS !!! If his policy making decisions were as good as his excuses .. OzDownUnder wouldnt be burning now
Blame game is a poor strategy ScottFromMarketing AustralianFires
Always excuses.
Just more lies.
of course it was. and you were also busy making that ad.
Blame anybody but himself!
Fire chief's weren't informed first in the midst of a bushfire emergency... are you kidding PM.
The empathy training failed Scott Morrison but he certainly immersed himself in the buck passing and how to lie effectively workshops (though the jury's out on 'effective')
If he can't control his own narrative there's fuck all chance he'd adhere to emergency comms protocols. And people in close proximity to self destructing leaders do stupid things crisiscomms emergencymanagement
They did know
has an excuse for everything just no answers.
This is absolutely ridiculous. You threw Gladys under the bus, made a stupid ad with the LNPClimateCriminals and now you're trying to deflect blame due to a lack of coordination on your part? ResignMorrison
Does this mean the fire chiefs can knock off and go home since the defence force is taking over? auspol
Narcissist do not accept blame.

Scott Morrison defends 'tone deaf' video in tweetPrime Minister Scott Morrison has defended a video posted on social media detailing the government&x27;s bushfire response after it was labelled "shameless" and a breach of political advertising rules. piersmorgan The majority of people get their news off social media. They no longer watch tv news or read newspapers. Morrison using a video on social media to inform those people is a good idea. And for those going apeshit over the authorisation at the end of the video, it’s the law MayneReport The PM doth protest too much, methinks.
