In a recorded Q&A session, the school's leadership said the maximum five minutes cut from classes meant teaching time was largely retained, while earlier starts were similar to those at nearby private schools which began before 8.30am.The school said teachers would explicitly guide students to develop self-regulation skills, such as setting goals, reflecting on work, and managing time through Google calendars, and tasks would be structured to support all learners.

natassiazc I've taught in three schools with 8:15pm, 8:18pm or 8:30pm start for a 2:30pm or 2:40pm finish during my career. I prefer it, but in a number of regional areas, early starts are not plausible due to buses (think students in remote areas or where there is one bus to/from town)
