The death of a man who was found lying on a road in Adelaide's inner south-western suburbs is being treated as suspicious, police say.

He was found lying on a road in EdwardstownPolice and paramedics were called to Dunorlan Street, Edwardstown just before 9:30pm on Sunday.

The 41-year-old man was rushed to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition, but was pronounced dead a short time later.Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Branch, and Southern District CIB and Forensic Response officers, attended and examined the scene.Dunorlan Road is currently closed to all traffic between Calstock Avenue and Waverley Avenue.

Police are calling on anyone who saw or heard any disturbance in the area last night, or who has any information that may assist the investigation, to contact them.
