China ‘needs to play a responsible role’ in Russia-Ukraine conflictSky News host Chris Kenny says Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent defensive moves and threats of nuclear warfare in the conflict in Ukraine is “deeply disturbing”. “One thing we have learned about world leaders, especially autocrats and despots, is to believe their threats, they often follow through on their threats, no matter how crazy they sound,” he said. “Just as Putin followed through on his threats to invade Ukraine, we need to take Beijing's sabre-rattling over Taiwan seriously, and likewise, this underscores why the free world needs to be very calm but cautious about the Russian president's latest overtures.” Mr Kenny said Foreign Minister Penny Wong met with her Chinese counterpart in the United Nations with the aim of “putting pressure on China over the situation in Ukraine”. “Yes, China needs to play a responsible role here, its pressure on Russia could be critical – but the West can't afford to rely on Beijing being a responsible global citizen,” he said. “Standing up for what's right is always important but predicting the behaviour of nuclear armed despots in East Asia and Eastern Europe is a fraught business.” Wait, didn't the new UK prime minister also issue that same threat? Chris Kenny is deeply disturbed just by being Chris Kenny. The acts of a sinile wanker in another country is not china's problem...they have voiced thier concerns ..that's the end of it!!!!
