Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, in which 1,000 people are treated each day, will get expanded emergency and imaging departments in the revamp.

Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital has been promised a $750-million redevelopment by the NSW Government, including expanded emergency and imaging departments.It will receive expansions to its emergency and imaging departments in stage one of the redevelopmentHealth Minister Brad Hazzard said the funding was the largest investment in the inner-west facility over its 137-year history.

"The new facilities at RPA will build on the hospital's strength of integrating treatment with research and innovation," he said. In addition to expansions of the emergency and imaging departments, the money will be used to reconfigure and expand operating theatres and integrate ambulatory care services.
