The Berejiklian government has promised to invest $750 million to redevelop Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital

Health Minister Brad Hazzard said the RPA redevelopment would be a game-changer for staff and patients.

Mr Hazzard said he expected the new emergency department to be at least double the size of the current one, and the total number of operating theatres to be more than 30. If re-elected, the government has pledged to give the green light to planning and construction within the next term of government, and will consult with the community and clinicians to determine the exact nature of the new and expanded services.
