AUDIO: Report calls for 'urgent' action on conditions at US border camps

In a scathing report merely confirming lawmakers' concerns, conditions inside holding facilities on the US-Mexico border have been described as"dangerous" and in"urgent" need of attention.

The report, prepared by the Department of Homeland Security's independent watchdog into five facilities in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, is released as covert videos and photos are emerging of squalid, cramped and chaotic conditions inside the facilities. In what is being described as a humanitarian crisis, the report found some children aren't getting showers, hot food or fresh clothes, while others are being held for weeks.
