The Palaszczuk government has announced it would ease close contact isolation rules from next week.

Queensland is following the lead of NSW, Victoria and the ACT, and scrapping its COVID-19 close contact isolation rules next Thursday.

From 6pm next Thursday , household contacts can leave the house, provided they test negative, wear a mask and have no symptoms. The Queensland government is also scrapping the requirement for quarantine for unvaccinated visitors – which raises the issue of what is going to happen to theQueensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk went it alone on the quarantine facility next to the privately owned Wellcamp airport owned by the Wagner family.
