More than 40 Queensland teachers had their registration suspended, cancelled or prohibited for a period, or were permanently excluded from the profession last year because of unacceptable behaviour, new data shows.

Last year, 44 teachers had their registrations suspended, cancelled, or prohibitions imposed, or were permanently excluded

According to figures from the Queensland College of Teachers , in 2021 16 teachers had their registration suspended over a serious offence charge, and 17 over posing an unacceptable risk — 33 in total. QCT director Deanne Fishburn said the overwhelming majority of Queensland teachers value and uphold high ethical and professional standards, but "even one teacher crossing a professional boundary is one too many".

Ok, so what does 'unacceptable' behaviour mean specifically?

'The number of teachers who had their registrations suspended or cancelled represents 0.05 per cent of the workforce'. But we'll tout headlines that imply otherwise because QLD teachers need this portrayal when they're facing a very tough time already. You are just awful, ABC.

Your spelling wants to be reprimanded.

Ummm we spell it behaviour here.
