Queensland records no community COVID-19 cases but a flight crew member headed to Papua New Guinea and a vaccinated truck driver both test positive. The Chief Health Officer says they are no risk to the community.

She said both cases posed "absolutely no risk to the community".

Overnight, Queensland reached 54.77 per cent of the eligible population as fully vaccinated, and 71.35 per cent with one dose. "In exciting news, yesterday we hit 80 per cent double doses for those Queenslanders aged 70 years and older," Ms D'Ath said. Dr Young urged Queenslanders to come out to one of the 33 pop-up clinics at Bunnings stores across the state to get vaccinated.Dr Young said it was only a matter of time before every single person in Queensland was infected with COVID-19.
