Perhaps government can subsidise my living costs here in India since I have no income since lockdown was implemented on March 22nd. Plenty of other Australians stranded overseas in similar positions to me.

SBS Just send them all to Queensland

Absolute lunatic State Premiers. It is the smallest of mercies that we have the very limited international travel that we do now. This authoritarian approach to border control is yet another example of the respective governments' completely disproportionate response to covid

WA - we will host the AFL final. WA - don’t send the international flights here.

Needs to happen while the country grapples with Victoria. Every day more Covid people come into the country. One into NSW is now at risk of spreading it in Newcastle. Stem the flow!

If the whole world had done this and shut everything down (except essential services) for 1 month back in Feb/March the virus would be all but gone. Hey, but what do I know, I’m not a world leader who’s main interest has been the economy. And hasn’t that worked out just great.

I wonder if any States would have coped with the influx of infectious returning travellers that Melbourne has endured.

'Play it safe': AMA calls for a nationwide freeze on lifting COVID restrictionsThe Australian Medical Association has urged states and territories to temporarily stop lifting coronavirus restrictions in the wake of the spike in cases and outbreaks in Melbourne. No !!! They have no idea of the financial impact on individuals and familys . Why ? Because on this basis they are fully , if not over employed! Asher_Wolf So… peasants need to petition the king? The AMA are now far from the AMA of their founders. Captured by big pharma and food cartels they have no grasp on rationality. The AMA have refused to push a healthy diet, exercise, genetic understanding as examples of their conflict/corruption. Time to build back better.
