Queen Elizabeth told to ‘stop drinking’ by royal doctors

“The Queen has been told to give up her evening drink which is usually a martini,” a family friend is said to have told Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl.

While the Queen is in good health, she was sighted using a cane on Tuesday for the first time in 17 years while attending a service at Westminster Abbey. Royal doctors have reportedly advised the Queen to abstain from drinking any alcoholic beverage in the lead up to the event. According to palace sources, her majesty’s favourite drink is a dry martini which is also her son Prince Charles’ drink of choice.
