Weak police response to head stomping incident ‘is unacceptable’ | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says the horrific arrest of a man in Melbourne shows police have gone too far.\n\nVideo footage showed six police officers pinning the man to the ground during an arrest in Melbourne’s north.\n\nThe man involved was a mental health patient who had escaped from hospital, he was knocked down by a police car and a policeman jumped on his head. \n\nMr Murray says the weakest response to this incident came from the brass of Victoria police.\n\nDeputy Commissioner Neil Paterson released a statement on the footage, saying it was an “inappropriate use of force by a police member with regard to the kick or the stomp to the head of the man involved in that incident.”\n\n“I’ve also formed the view that the use of force in using a police vehicle with the man involved in that incident is concerning,” he said. \n\nMr Murray said there was an apparent suspension given to the officer involved most in the incident, however there was no admonishment. \n\n“You know how I support police,” he said.\n\n“But (the statement has shown), when it comes to coronavirus restrictions they will jump in front of a camera, when it comes to upholding standards for a person with clear mental health issues, you get a statement that’s put out, both of which are unacceptable.”\n Q. Can you find out how many of these visas have been issued to Chinese police 👮‍♀️. Please DanielAndrews gave them one instruction 'Show No Mercy' Ask Dan
