The family of a man in a coma are calling for an independent probe after a police officer allegedly stomped on his head.

Video footage showed six police officers pinning the man to the ground during an arrest in Melbourne’s north. Police said they arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a man acting erratically.

The man’s father said what occurred was “disgusting” and demanded the officer lose his job. He also revealed his mentally ill son was waiting to see a doctor before the incident, and had been put in an induced coma to undergo a CT scan.

Over to you Dan...

Vic police out of control, a bit like their premier.

Senior Constable Head Stomp has now been suspended. But Senior Constable Kick in the Face is still on duty.

What are these cops on ? ... ffs

How about giving us the full story, instead of a selected pic to get a cheap, alarmist headline? You media are all the same. Low grade.

Allegedly my arse.

WLM

Why haven't the police involved been suspended already pending an investigation?

Hey sky I don’t think it was “allegedly”. Pretty sure you can watch the officer do the act

The police will investigate themselves & find no wrong doing I’m sure.

Like I said I don’t like Victoria it’s a cop state, you need cop but when it’s a cop state they have to much power and don’t need to answer to anyone .but it looks even Bader than years ago. Starting to look like CCP state ha good luck to the people of Victoria

Victorian police are making worldwide many new friends.🤮

Allegedly? I think the video evidence speaks for itself.

Agree. Police investigation into themselves

There’s nothing allegedly about that ...

Black Lives Matter started because of police brutality - I don’t think everyone understands the danger that these actions can cause.

Allegedly? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

20 year's ago they would have shot him for good measure

What do you mean 'allegedly'. What part of the vision leads you to 'allegedly'?

Victoria has seen ‘signs of hope’ yet policing ‘is now the real worry’ | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Chris Kenny says the idea that Victorian police, who did nothing to stop BLM protests during the last lockdown, should go so hard with a zero tolerance attitude against anti-lockdown protesters now is 'surely repugnant to most people'. \n\nHe said while there are signs of hope in the state as they get the coronavirus infection rates down, “the real worry in Victoria at the moment is policing”. \n\n“What we saw yesterday in the Victoria Markets yesterday was just obscene”. \n\n“Remember this police force has got a lot wrong lately.\n\n“And we know they have to deal with a lot of idiots but the police have to be sensible, and show restraint.\n\n“The Victoria police have been hassling pregnant women sitting in parks, and they've handcuffed a pregnant woman at home, in an unnecessary, heavy handed implementation of draconian government rules.”\n\nMr Kenny also said it is “staggering that the Left of politics should be so deaf to the concerns about police bully tactics and the infringement of personal liberties”. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia He is saying what the rest of us real Australians are thinking and saying.. auspol Conservative media are obsessed with BLM protests.. Australia is handing over its privacy 'in the name of security' | Sky News AustraliaPsychiatrist Dr Tanveer Ahmed says the notion of privacy has changed in Australia as, in the name of security, increasingly extreme forms of monitoring are being allowed. \n\n“Drones now patrol the city in Melbourne patrolling social distancing protocols,” Mr Ahmed said. \n\n“The Covid safe app monitors our movements.\n\n“Our internet behaviour already produces gigabytes of data for commercial use for the likes of our Silicon Valley overlords- Google, Facebook, Amazon etc.”\n\nMr Ahmed said Sydney has about 60 thousand surveillance cameras and was only a step away from incorporating facial recognition systems. \n\n“In the name of security, we've allowed all types of monitoring that civil liberty types are up in arms about,” he said. \n\n“Every new technological, legal, and cultural development raises concerns about the death of privacy. \n\n“No one wants us to be like China, but authoritarianism is on the march in even the places we consider bastions of freedom. \n\n“Privacy is central to liberty. \n\n“But arguably, privacy is also a privilege. \n\n“Do we really have a right to privacy and how do we draw up the limits?”\n\nImage: Getty IDONOTCONSENT TakeAustraliaBack info_libertes La!!
