Australian reporter testifies about police beating outside White HouseSeven Network US correspondent Amelia Brace has described to a US congressional committee how she was shot by non-lethal projectiles and hit by a truncheon. Glad you used the term reporter and not journalist. Journalism doesn't exist in 2020. It was dumb that AmeliaBrace was not wearing appropriate markings that she was media. It was negligent that her employer did not make her wear appropriate markings to safeguard her. Shouting “media” is not enough. She is the story. Well you knew that was a possibility.

Australian journalist Amelia Brace testifies about US police assault outside White HouseSeven Network correspondent Amelia Brace has told a US congressional hearing how she was shot at and beaten by police near the White House. It was a riot, not a peaceful demonstration You put yourself in harms way and in the thick of battle, then you need to expect that something could potentially go bad. How are police to identity the press from the rioters when in the thick of it. Oh there’s anger, frustration and violence in the streets, I’ll run around in the middle of it all and just presume I’m bullet proof and untouchable, it’s for the people of course, the people in tv land neeeeed to see.......me.
