She spoke with her team in the counter-terrorism command on Wednesday morning to provide details on why she chose to make that declaration.
NSW Premier Chris Minns, who described it as a"major, major" terrorism investigation, said hundreds of police were also deployed to religious organisations and structures across Sydney in response to fears of potential retaliation attacks.
