|Prime Minister Scott Morrison has conceded there was a communication "breakdown" that led to a delay in alerting the New South Wales Rural Fire Service about the deployment of Australian Defence Force troops to help with the nation's bushfire crisis. Last week, 3,000 members of the Australian Defence Force Reserve were called up to help firefighters with the current bushfire crisis gripping the nation.
Mr Morrison said additional military resources, including the navy’s largest amphibious ship the HMAS Adelaide, will help evacuate fire-affected communities. However, NSW RFS Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said he was "disappointed [and] frustrated" to only find out about the deployment through public channels and not via the prime minister. "There was a breakdown in communications at the defence-liaison level," Mr Morrison said.
He made that decision while playing cricket at Kirribilli but forgot to send it in the Ad!

OUR Aust Defence Force have been in the skies though. Heres an Airman telling his experience. I’ve been saying this for days when Aust are pleading where OUR DF was. It was shown on ADF twitter page that’s where I saw the airmen pics.
