Research commissioned by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia has found Pharmacists having more scope of practice could relieve pressure on General Practitioners.

The research investigated the economic benefits of allowing Pharmacists to prescribe certain

medications and showed it could free up to 6.5 million appointments from General Practitioners.

As a person with medical conditions I totally disagree with this, there could be underlying conditions and pharmacists handing out prescriptions when they are not qualified Doctors is a bad idea.

Pharmacy Guild... that would be the pharmacy owners union. Yes?
