Fed up with the gender pay gap, MeggiePalmer has launched an app she describes as 'a fitbit but for your career which helps you track all your successes'.

The coronavirus pandemic has forced organisations to change the way they engage with the public, and Vogue Codes is no exception. The hugely successful forum empowering women with the help of technology is going digital this year, offering online events and free virtual webinars. Founder of PepTalkHer Meggie Palmer told Sky News she was “really passionate about helping women be paid equally”.

“I was really frustrated when I found out little girls get less pocket money than little boys, and women across the board are paid 20 per cent less than their male colleagues,” she said. “Frankly, I was just really annoyed by these statistics so I wanted to do something about it, I didn’t want to just sit there and complain.” Ms Palmer launched a free app called PepTalkHer which she described as “kind of like a fitbit but for your career”.

MeggiePalmer I am fed up with Unicorns, perhaps it’s time to make myself an app?

MeggiePalmer Why is this fake phenomenon making a come back?

MeggiePalmer Why is it, a male friend ~ Australian ~ has to date, since April, applied for 167 jobs. Of that, 167 have gone to women..? He wants white collar employment in the finance sector... Australian employment agent said he should get a forklift license 😱 Gender PayGap is BS!!!

MeggiePalmer so is she saying a male doctor gets paid more than a female, or a male teacher gets paid more than a female or a male Woolworth check out get paid more than female..pay is related to quality and quantity..name one field this happens with equal work...just for my knowledge.

MeggiePalmer If we’re trying to correct the gender pay gap why doesn’t it go both ways and correct the gender inequality when it comes to child custody. Men are getting screwed in the courts and you don’t hear about that.

MeggiePalmer The make believe pay gap that helps feminists to remain prominent? Surely there aren’t still people out there that hasn’t done the research to know it’s not true. Should we look at the gap between male and female models?

MeggiePalmer 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂 So funny!! Meggie might make a few bucks from idiots who subscribe to the butthurt notions of a pay gap so in her case the app could be a cash cow! Entrepreneurial genius. Fucken hilarious!

MeggiePalmer

MeggiePalmer Another cheap trick to draw attention to herself over a completely fake issue.

MeggiePalmer Rename gender wage gap to lazy women want to be paid more for less

MeggiePalmer Isn’t that called LinkedIn.

MeggiePalmer Oh, you mean the gap created because want to work fewer hours, that gap? Seems reasonable 🤦‍♀️

MeggiePalmer Exactly what Pay Gap

MeggiePalmer What pay gap?

MeggiePalmer What gap ?

MeggiePalmer If women were cheaper to employ then I wouldn't hire men.

Should have lead with 'me neighbours best mate' instead of a 'government source' Both sound just as believable. Because the economy is largely based around an immigration driven ponzi scheme. If it was based around something sensible like manufacturing this wouldn't happen.

Vic govt to roll out regional coronavirus testing push | Sky News AustraliaThe Victorian government will roll out a major coronavirus testing push from tomorrow as the state sees a concerning rise in the number of cases in regional areas. \n\nPremier Daniel Andrews announced testing would focus on the Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo regions where a number of new infections were recorded in recent days. \n\nHe revealed three additional testing sites would be established in those areas to provide greater support to pre-existing clinics. \n\nThe sites will be set up at Geelong Kardinia Health, Ballarat Respiratory Clinic and Bendigo’s Spring Gully Primary Health. \n\nMr Andrews said while there were only 492 infections across regional Victoria, as opposed to the 7,155 recorded in metropolitan Melbourne, health authorities remained concerned over the growth in regional cases as several remained under investigation. \n\nHe again urged all Victorians to present themselves for testing if they felt even the mildest of symptoms. \n\n“That's an important part of our fight against this virus,” he said. \n\n“As far as some of those worrying trends in those three large regional cities, this testing push over the coming days and weeks will be a really important way in which we can be confident that we're finding all of the virus that's there, or at least as much of it as we can.”\n\nVictoria recorded its lowest daily coronavirus case load with 278 new infections and eight deaths. \n\nThe age and gender breakdown of the death toll was a female in her 50s, two males in their 70s, two females and two males in their 80s and one male in his 90s. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia \n\n IStandWithDan Or with a 99% recovery rate from the flu stop the unnecessary testing and just treat the less than 1% that may need hospital care

Unemployment rate 'masked' by JobKeeper | Sky News AustraliaThe current unemployment rate is “masked” by JobKeeper, and will get worse when Victoria’s lockdowns are factored in next month, Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says.\n\nThe Australian Bureau of Statistics on Thursday released July’s jobs figures, which showed an increase in the official rate to 7.5 per cent.\n\nAlmost 115,000 jobs were added in the month, which smashed initial expectations of 30,000.\n\n“You can’t have JobKeeper for five years, you can have it until the next election which could be late next year,” Mr Clennell said.\n\n“And I think that’s part of the government’s thinking. \n\n“Because it’s better to have 7.5 per cent unemployment as you go to an election or perhaps eight per cent than it is to have 13.\n\n“Having said that Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg are very open with what they call the effective unemployment rate, they talk about 13 per cent.”\n aclennell Another bleeding obvious contribution.... aclennell We all know that. Why else would you think that ScottMorrisonMP got the sack from 2 marketing jobs? He is terrible at telling the truth. aclennell The idea of Jobkepper is to keep people in jobs so to lower the unemployment rate.
